Kicking off Playboy’s Artist Spotlight Series, we’re excited to highlight rising alt-rock/pop sensation Towa Bird!

@Towabird is one to watch. She picked up the electric guitar at age 12, and now, at 25, the Hong Kong-born, half-Filipino, half-English singer/songwriter is climbing toward stardom.

Towa began her music career by building a following on TikTok, where she regularly shared singing videos. In 2022, she was featured as a guitarist in Olivia Rodrigo’s Disney+ documentary and in 2023, Towa opened for Reneé Rapp’s “Snow Hard Feelings” tour.

Following several successful singles, Towa Bird released her debut album “American Hero” in June of this year and was met with critical acclaim. She’s currently on her headlining “American Hero Complex” tour, with sold-out shows in California and New York.

If you can’t catch her on this tour, don’t worry—Towa will join Billie Eilish’s “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR” starting November 2.
