From marabou feathers to bejewelled bikinis and pineapple headdresses, it looked like a scene straight from the Rio Carnival. The Miss Universe catwalk was a riot of colour and pageantry this evening as hopefuls posed in ‘national costume’ for the preliminary stages of the competition.
