Before she ever touched a pole, Lily Yurika was deep into shibari, the Japanese art of rope bondage—and something about the movement brought her right back to the discipline and fluidity she loved in ballet as a teenager. Today, she performs in art galleries and teaches pole to students in both Japanese and English.
